About this site

This site was put together by Liam O’Boyle and other friends from Clifton Hill. We were inspired by the Nicer Collingwood folks advocating for the positive change that council’s proposals for Wellignton Street will bring to their neighbourhood and wanted to do the same ours.

The shared street option in both the Clifton Hill and Collingwood sections will improve safety and liveability for local residents and for people travelling to and through the area - basically everyone except those who rat-run through our neighbourhood. The aim of this site is to give people accurate information about what is actually being proposed, so they can form their own view.

If you have questions about the proposals, or you’re a local resident who supports the project and would like to be involved, get in touch.

Register your support

You don't need to live locally to register. Local support carries the most weight with councillors, but broader community backing matters too. Add your suburb and we'll present both. It also means we can reach you with specific asks as 12 May approaches (speaking at council, calling your councillor) when those asks will count most.
